Hi All! Our Earth Day Clean-Up is almost here. . . We have a large group registered, so it should be FUN! Just a few updates and quick reminders. . .
1) We will be accessing the beach from the NEW trail to the South of the bridge, so please park in the South Lot (HWY 1 turnout). There will be signs posted on Tunitas Creek Rd as a reminder.
2) BYOB (bring your own bucket) if possible; we do have about 40 buckets, but have about twice that number registered, so if you can bring your own bucket that would be super helpful. Also bringing your own gloves is helpful too, as those are also limited.
3) All participants MUST have a Waiver on file(only one is needed per year). If you are volunteering as a Family or Group and want to print out the waiver form in advance you can find them on our website: https://www.tlclocals.org/waiverforms We will have additional Family and Group forms onsite if you are unable to print and fill out in advance. If you are an individual volunteer, we do have an event waiver that you can sign onsite.
Additional Info. . .
We will have snacks and water available for participants, but do ask that you bring a reusable bottle for water. We will also have hand sanitizer and sunscreen.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: There are NO facilities/bathrooms at Tunitas. The nearest bathrooms are in HMB proper (9mi North) or San Gregorio State Beach (6mi South)
Haven't been to Tunitas?! Here is a great video created by Rob Cala, of our last large clean-up for CA Coastal Clean-Up. Special thanks to Rob for such a great video; SMC Parks, the H2OO kids and our TLClocals volunteers!
